Lisa H. Beatty is an experienced attorney, having practiced over 25 years primarily in the areas of Estate Planning, Elder Law, and Medicaid Planning. She is committed to creating a relationship-based practice in which her clients feel comfortable and understood, and that their goals and priorities are of the utmost importance while considering their planning. Lisa has a successful history of managing a thriving law practice, demonstrated leadership in overseeing a team of five or more, and an extensive partnership experience that has refined her strategic thinking and business acumen.

Lisa is a member of the State Bar of Michigan’s Elder Law and Disability Rights Section, the Livingston County Bar Association, WealthCounsel, and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. She is regularly invited as a guest speaker for various groups and events, including the Brighton Senior Men’s Club, many local senior centers and senior living communities, as well as for the State Bar of Michigan and many continuing education providers. She has also taught workshops to other Michigan professionals for their continuing education credits.

Lisa followed in her father’s footsteps to become a ham radio operator and was recently appointed as the Emergency Coordinator for Roscommon County. She is working on becoming a state-certified Auxiliary Communicator and is a member of Livingston County’s Community Emergency Response Team. She is a talented violist and has served on the board of several charitable organizations. She wages her own internal battle on football Saturdays, having received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and her law degree from what is now Michigan State University. Lisa lives on a small hobby farm with her husband and teenaged daughter, goats, chickens, rabbits, dogs, and a house pig named Winston. She boards her horses nearby. Lisa loves to spend time with her family, including her adult son, daughter-in-law, and grandson, at their cabin “up north.” In her spare time, Lisa helps her daughter with her small soap-making business and routinely forgets to water the plants.
